Hi! I’m Kalyn!

If you’re here then you’re most likely from one of my Socials. or maybe you have found me from my Salon "Kalyn Goode's Salon" located in Excelsior Springs, MO. Which probably means you must be fun and have some sort of a sense of humor.  For that I like you already!  Thank you so much for checking out my site!  

  I am a Mom, hairstylist, influencer, artist, beauty consultant and business owner.  I wear many hats.  I was raised in the Midwest and love my small town life. I believe wholeheartedly in putting my all into everything I do. I believe in knowledge, kindness, philanthropy, hard work, perseverance and a strong supply of good ethics.

 I am the Founder & Former Owner (sold in 2021) of the 2-time award winning salon, Scissors & Shears Salon. The current Owner of Kalyn Goode's, My Momma Tried and Beach & Bum Spray Tanning. Prior to owning my own businesses, I was a Corporate Regional Salon Franchise Consultant, for a major corporation in the Salon industry and a Personal Celebrity Hairstylist. I traveled a ton, met some awesome mentors, had the chance to work with some amazing High-End Clients and learned so much. 

  Aside from running a thriving Salon and an at home candle business with My Momma Tried, I teach children's self-esteem and beauty classes to littles ages 4-15.  I am currently serving my second term as an elected official for the ES Board of Education, and I also sponsor the Mr & Miss Waterfest Pageant in Excelsior Springs. My favorite thing to do is share my love of quick recipes, funny reels, beauty advice, and lots of other random things on social media. It brings me joy.
